They listen to us.
They learn from us.
We give them names.
We tell them things we wouldn't tell anyone else. What happens when someone starts killing them?
In a world where animated companions are created to cure loneliness,
someone has found a way to kill what was never meant to die.
Hear directly from the director on the vision, tone, and singular world he's building with SKETCH — a horror film unlike anything the genre has seen.
In a world where cartoons, known as Sketches, are created to cure loneliness, these companions exist to serve and are believed to be indestructible.
They're not supposed to die.
But when Sara's cartoon boyfriend is brutally murdered, that belief shatters — turning our childhood memories into nightmares.
As fear spreads, Sara is pulled into a surreal, disturbing investigation where what once made us laugh (cartoon anvils, dynamite, and toxic waste) is no longer harmless, but lethal.
Someone has found a way to kill what was never meant to die.
And this is only the beginning.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Scream
A Nightmare on Elm Street
Space Jam
This film will embody the beloved classic slasher/horror elements of Scream, intertwined with a fresh fantastical world similar to A Nightmare on Elm Street — where anything is possible. This live-action mixed with animation film has a visual style of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Cool World & Space Jam. The dark style of animation is going to take your idea of cartoons and their deaths to a whole other demented dimension that has never been seen in this genre.

"I've been working with Colton on SKETCH since 2019. What grabbed me from the first read is still what grabs me now. It's a real slasher built around a question we're all starting to ask: at what point do digital things start to feel real to us? The cultural moment caught up to the script. Now we get to make it."
